What is dutching?

Dutching is the process of placing bets on opposing outcomes using two or more bookies.

It is an alternative to laying at Betfair.

A simple example of a dutch would be to bet on Heads at one bookie and Tails at another bookie. The two bets cancel each other out.

We can use this approach when two bookies have promos on the same game.

By dutching we can keep our qualifying loss low, while also giving ourselves a chance to hit one (or both) of the promos.

Sometimes it can also be possible to find arbitrage opportunities using dutching.
