How do the Dabble promos work?
Copy Bet Special
Dabble frequently offers Copy Bet Special (CBS) promos on major races and sports. These give customers the opportunity to copy a nominated Dabble members bet and get their stake back if it loses.
There are a few variations of the Copy Bet Special, but here are the most common.
CB3 - These work in a similar way to traditional run 2nd/3rd promos with a couple of differences. To be eligible, you will need to copy the bet from one of the nominated members. If your horse runs 2nd or 3rd you will receive your stake back as cash (not a bonus bet) up to $25.
You can approach this in the same way as a regular bookie promo by laying the horse on Betfair.
Multi CBS - The same principle as racing, you will need to copy a bet from the nominated member. If the multi loses by the specified number of legs, you will receive your stake back up to $25 (in cash).
What other type of Copy Bet Special promotions exist?
Racing:
- CB3 - Copy Bet to 3rd (Stake back if your runner does not win but finishes 2nd or 3rd)
- CB4 - Copy Bet to 4th (Stake back if your runner does not win but finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th)
- CBS - Copy Bet Special (Stake back if your runner does not win)
- Copy Bet Head to Head Battle - (person vs person) - Copying from the user you think is going to win, 1 copy bet only.
Sport:
- SGM CBS (Stake back if the multi fails by the specified number of legs)
- Multi CBS (Stake back if the multi fails by the specified number of legs)
Rocket Boost
Rocket Boosts are given out to active users on the Dabble platform. These can be treated in a similar way as price bumps/odds boosts but with more potential upside.
With some large boosts available (often up to 50%) these can be used to create arbitrage opportunities. However, with the Rocket Boosts you won’t know what the enhanced odds will be until the bet has been placed so for this approach you will need to be selective.
What’s even better is that the Rocket Boots can be used in conjunction with the Copy Bet Special… meaning an increased payout or a reduced QL if laying.
