What are the Betfair commission rates for each state?

Betfair's standard commission rate is 6%, which applies to most sports and markets worldwide. Australia is the exception, where rates vary depending on the sport and the state the event is held in.

Thoroughbred horse racing

• NSW and ACT: 10%
• All other states and territories: 8%

Note that the relevant state is where the race is being run, not where you are located.

NRL

NRL carries a 10% commission rate. Because of this, dutching NRL bets across bookmakers is often a better option than laying on Betfair.
