Should I use a VPN?

A Virtual Private Network, or VPN, is a way to disguise your IP address.

VPN's are most commonly used as a way to protect your privacy, but they can also be used to hide your location.

Many bookies require you to be in Australia in order to place bets with them. This causes problems if you are outside the country...unless you have a VPN.

With a VPN you can set your IP address to an Aussie location and you should be good to go.

In some instances you might have the opposite situation and want to appear outside of Australia. Again, a VPN will help you out.

A couple of things to note:

• Bet365 are incredible at detecting VPNs and will not let you login if you are using one
• TabTouch are also great at detecting them but they will allow you 60 days per year of being out of the country (either physically or virtually) before it becomes a problem
• Other bookies may be able to detect shared IP addresses but not private ones. Our weapon of choice is a dedicated IP from Torguard.
